The BMW PGA Championship runs from Thursday 8 September to Sunday 12 September.

Where is the BMW PGA Championship taking place?

The tournament will be held at their traditional home at Wentworth Golf Club in Virginia Water, England.

Billy Horschel, the defending champion, had won by one stroke over Lori Cantor and Jamie Donaldson 12 months earlier.

What TV channel is the BMW PGA Championship on?

Sky Sports will show the golf tournament in its entirety. Thursday's first round will be shown on both Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Golf from 9am. Friday's third round as well as Saturday and Sunday's action will be broadcast exclusively on Sky Sports Golf from 9pm.

McIlroy will take on Horschel and US Open champion Matthew Fitzpatrick at 8:30 p.m. Laurie will begin the trophy hunt with Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood at 8.45 a.m.

McIlroy's team returns for the second round at 12.40pm, while Lowry's crew returns to the course at 12.55pm.
