Demolition of supertech twin towers: Planning to drive the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway route today? Then please note the times when the highway will remain closed to vehicular traffic. Why does it stay closed? That's because the demolition of the Supertech twins culminates today at 2:30 p.m.

The highway will be opened half an hour after the blast once the dust settles, DCP Rajesh S said, ANI reported.

"Noida | Expressway will be closed only just before the blast around 2:15 PM. It will open half an hour after the blast once the dust settles. The immediate command center has 7 CCTV cameras. A traffic expert here with us, monitoring all the jam spots," ANI quoted DCP Rajesh S.

Demolition of Noida Supertech twins today

The demolition of the Apex (32-story) and Ceyane (29-story) towers would leave behind approximately 35,000 cubic meters of debris that would take at least three months to clear.

Traffic will be restricted on key Noida routes on Sunday as the city prepares to demolish the illegally constructed super-twins in the city's Sector 93A area.

The Noida Police Commissioner on Saturday issued an advisory asking media personnel to stop at the designated media location and also ensure that they carry their organization identity card.

"All media personnel brothers are hereby informed that on 28th August 2022, after prior intimation of Noida Traffic Police, the twin bridge is to be demolished. All media personnel will park and media at the designated place. All journalists shall ensure that they bring their organization's identity card with them and for any assistance, please contact the number below,” the notice said.

Police also shared the contact number of the administration which includes ACP Rajnish (8595902521), District Information Officer Rakesh Chauhan (9560544878) and Transport Helpline (9971009001).
