New Delhi, Sep 3 (PTI) The Delhi Police has booked the Deputy Commissioner of Deoghar and some other police officers in Jharkhand on sedition charges and under the Official Secrets Act 'Zero' following a complaint by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and MP Nishikant Dubey. FIR has been registered. Officials gave this information. Earlier, another FIR was registered against Dubey and nine people including BJP leader and MP Manoj Tiwari. The FIR was registered against him for allegedly forcing the Air Traffic Control (ATC) officials to allow his 'chartered' flight to take off after the scheduled time on August 31.
According to the Delhi Police's 'Zero FIR' registered at the North Avenue police station here, Dubey has said that on August 31, he and Manoj Tiwari had reached Deoghar airport to catch a flight to Delhi.
"He also threatened to kill me and did so on the instructions of Manjunath Bhajantri, Deputy Commissioner, Deoghar," it said.
Dubey and Tiwari had gone to Dumka to meet the family members of the girl student who had been set on fire and the brawl broke out when they were on their way back to Delhi. Deoghar airport security in-charge Suman Anand had lodged a complaint at Kunda police station on September 1 against Dubey, his two sons, MP Tiwari, Deoghar airport director Sandeep Dhingra and others.
The complaint said that all the nine persons allegedly violated "safety norms" by entering the ATC room at Deogarh airport and forcibly taking permission for the aircraft to take off. It has been alleged in the FIR that even though the airport did not have facilities for the aircraft to take off and land at night, permission was forcibly taken from the ATC. The FIR led to a heated argument between Dubey and the Deoghar Deputy Commissioner on Twitter on Saturday.
Dubey has accused the Deputy Commissioner of entering the ATC room and viewing the CCTV footage. Dubey said in a tweet, "This act is like a criminal that you (Deputy Commissioner Bhajantri) entered the premises without permission. Who gave you permission to see the CCTV footage? Keep taking orders from the Chief Minister."
