As for why this trend started, it's believed that a tweet from Amtrak, aka the National Railroad Passenger Corporation, started the one word tweet trend. Amtrak's official Twitter profile tweeted his one simple word: "train." Somehow, netizens jumped on the bandwagon and didn't wait a second to express themselves in one word. As mentioned earlier, many celebs and brands have also done so.

Amtrak provides long-distance and intercity rail service to 46 of the 48 states in the continental United States and nine cities in Canada. President Joe Biden is known to be vulnerable to trains, having used the train to commute every day during his tenure as Senator and Vice President. He was even called "Amtrak Joe" by the press. Of course, Biden's one-word tweet extended the trend even further.
