Cleveland Browns beat Pittsburgh Steelers: Winners and losers from Thursday night's game

The Pittsburgh Steelers entered a regular season series last year against division rivals the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland took revenge Thursday night at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Cleveland-Browns

After trailing 14–13 at halftime, Browns quarterback Jacoby Brissett led Cleveland's offense, including running back Nick Chubb and wide receiver Amari Cooper, to 16 second-half scores to give the Browns a 29–17 win.

Myles Garrett and Browns defense held the Steelers to just three points in the first half, handing them their second straight loss.

Nick Chubb

Chubb entered the race at No. 2 in Thursday's game with 228 yards in the NFL. Another solid performance in the backfield. The entire night, the Brown backs kept running between the opposition. He had 23 carries, 113 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Amari Cooper or David Njoku

Brissett is building good chemistry at wide receiver and tight end. Cooper and Njoku combined for 16 catches, 190 yards and two touchdowns. The Steelers struggled to cover Cooper and Nozoku most of the night. Brissett hit the pair 21 times.

Rookie George Pickens

The Steelers rookie wide receiver made a miraculous one-handed catch in the first quarter that gave Pittsburgh its first loss of the game.

Browns cornerback Martin Emerson Jr. was reminiscent of Pickens' spectacular 36-yard catch by Odell Beckham Jr. against the Dallas Cowboys in 2014.

Georgia's 2022 runoff is now in its 3rd week and it's the opening of the year.
